At Key Light ([https://keylight.pro](https://keylight.pro)), accessible from our website and desktop application, one of our main priorities is the privacy of our users. This Privacy Policy document outlines the types of information that is collected, recorded, and processed by Key Light, owned by Arch. Kiony Hilario, and how we protect your personal data.
By installing the Key Light desktop software, creating an account, or using our website, you hereby consent to this Privacy Policy and agree to its terms.
Key Light is designed from its architectural foundations (Hexagonal Architecture + Domain-Driven Design) as a local, non-destructive digital asset manager.
No Asset Uploading: Key Light does not upload, mirror, copy, or transfer your 3D models, textures, HDRI files, CAD/BIM assets, or local folder structures to our servers. All asset indexing, metadata reading, photometrical calculations (Flux engine), and 360° projections (Iris engine) are executed locally on your machine.
Your studio’s creative assets and intellectual property remain entirely private, secure, and under your absolute control.
To provide, maintain, and secure our commercial v1.0 software and subscription services, we may collect the following data:
When you register for a Free, Pro, or Studio account, we may collect:
Name and/or Studio Name.
Email address (used for license activation, communication, and security).
Account credentials (encrypted via industry-standard protocols).
For users upgrading to Pro or Studio tiers, financial transactions are handled securely via third-party payment gateways (such as Stripe or PayPal). Key Light does not store or have access to your full credit card details or bank account numbers. We only receive confirmation of payment success and tokenized billing identifiers.
To optimize the application’s performance and ensure our featherweight commitment (under 1% CPU footprint), the desktop application may securely transmit anonymous technical logs, including:
Software version and active license status.
Hardware profile overview (CPU architecture, OS version) to verify engine compatibility.
Crash reports and error logs (to identify and fix software bugs automatically).
Note: These technical logs never contain names, paths, or contents of your private 3D files.
We use the collected data strictly for the following purposes:
To provision, activate, and manage your Key Light user account and software licenses.
To process subscription renewals and prevent fraudulent activities.
To understand, analyze, and fix technical bugs, improving overall software stability.
To communicate vital software updates, technical security alerts, or customer support responses.
Retention: We retain your account information only for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide you with our services.
Security: We implement strict technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. However, please remember that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.
Key Light utilizes trusted third-party service providers to handle infrastructure tasks that cannot be managed locally:
Payment Processing: Secure merchant gateways for handling subscription payments.
Authentication & Database Hosting: Secure cloud infrastructure to manage license distribution and active user sessions.
These third parties are bound by strict data processing agreements and are prohibited from using your personal information for any other purpose.
Depending on your geographical location, you have specific rights regarding your personal data, including:
The Right to Access: You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you (essentially your account credentials and subscription history).
The Right to Rectification: You can correct any inaccurate information directly from your user dashboard.
The Right to Erasure (“Right to be Forgotten”): You can request the complete deletion of your Key Light account and personal data by contacting us at hello@keylight.pro. This will immediately revoke active software licenses.
We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy to align with new application features, optimizations, or international legal frameworks. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
